I love Sherlock Holmes so of cause I had to go watch it at the cinema. This is my review.

Victorian London was recreated, I love this time in History, hence my obsession with Period Dramas. The movie I thought it was very different from the Sherlock we have come to know and love from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Why change things???.

Sherlock Holmes here is more unkempt, unshaven, according to director Guy Ritchie, is no gentleman. Dwelling in a cluttered, dark and filthy flat, the great detective doubles as the bachelor from hell and much more physical than originally written and boxing he was never shown/written to be a common street brawler, Why change things???

Doctor Watson is portrayed as closer to Holmes "equal" Doctor Watson never over powering towards Sherlock like this "slap in the face in 1 scene" unacceptable.

The biggest change to the character of Holmes is that he shares some sexual chemistry with a woman. While it's true that the written Holmes referred to Irene Adler as "the woman", it was more of an intellectual admiration than a sexual one.
